Hello Again!
We’ve been silent for a while but after this fantastic summer, we’re back to it! Auditions are quickly approaching so let’s run down what’s coming up!
On Friday August 12th at 5:30pm, we will hold a DTA Company Orientation at the studio. This will cover our plans for the upcoming year and our expectations. DTA teachers have been working hard this summer to make DTA the best is can absolutely be and we want to share this information with you.
Please note, at least one parent is required to attend.
Audition Prep and Conditioning will be August 13th from 10:30am to noon and August 15th at 5:30 to 7pm. This year we will be teaching a combo prior to auditions so this will be the time to learn it. While this is not required, it is strongly recommended. Please let us know if you are unable to attend either of these classes.
Tuesday, August 16th is the day of the AUDITION! Registration will start at 6pm and the auditions will begin at 6:30pm. Dancers should come dressed in appropriate ballet attire.
Please note any dancer auditioning should be going into at least the 5 th grade. Notification of acceptance will be mailed after the audition.
Now, on to the fun stuff! We have Lyn Cramer coming in Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and 21st . DTA has brought her in to set two new numbers so attendance is required.

Also, mark your calendars for September 25th ! Tom Alexander (who choreographed “Car Wash”) is coming to town to set another number. You can read about Tom here.
We are beyond excited to have two fantastic and accomplished choreographers coming in to set new pieces this year.
And I have one more date for you! Miss Persis Studio is hosting an Open House this year on August 24th from 5pm – 7pm. This will cover everything from classes, company, cotillion and our trip to Disney.
